    good atmosphere

It was just an excellent fit for a weekend respite in Buckfastleigh with good price-value balance. The helpful staff really made our stay special, especially during breakfast when they were so accommodating. Make sure to enjoy a drink at the pub before closing time.

The location was stunning, for example, D-Day was just a short walk away from the hotel. My double room was en suite, cosy.

Homely accommodation, amiable stuff, exceptional location in a beautiful setting. Delicious and splendid breakfast, a good choice of food and beverages. Enjoyable room with lovely views, a kettle, central heating and an iron with ironing board. Location very close to Plymouth.

Charming Stay with Amazing River Views

We enjoyed a peaceful night in a stylish double room with amazing river views. The highlight was the Sunday Carvery-four perfectly cooked meats. I wish the breakfast staff were friendlier, but the overall charm makes it a place I'd love to revisit. Tip, Relax on the terrace during sunset!

    great location
    comfortable stay
    small shower

We enjoyed exploring local tennis courts and catching a rugby game nearby. It was great to relax at the inn after our adventures. The location is perfect, right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The only downside was the shower size in our room, making it tricky to pick up dropped items without opening the door.

Fine river views and great breakfast

The views from my room were fine, and the sound of the river added to the relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and breakfast was good, with a delicious vegan option that left a lasting impression. I found the room a bit smaller than expected.

    gorgeous view
    superb breakfast
    cozy bar area
    cramped shower

I had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the gorgeous view of the river from my room. The breakfast was definitely the highlight. The cozy bar area was perfect for unwinding after a long day, but the shower was a bit cramped for my liking. I recommend this place for its charm and great service, just. 😊
